Kamehameha Day (Hawaii): Celebrating the first king of Hawaii with parades where statues are draped in thousands of "Leis" (flower garlands).

Todays Challenge: "Woven Petals." Sketch the repetitive, overlapping circular shapes of a flower lei. Focus on the soft, velvety edges of the individual petals.

Travel Trivia: Traditional leis were made not just from flowers, but also from shells, feathers, and even whale teeth.
